Basketball Finals

Congratulations to our boys and girls basketball teams who reached the Cumann na mBunscol large school basketball finals this week. Unfortunately it wasn’t our day and our teams were beaten by very strong teams from Scoil Bhríde Kill. We are so proud of our boys and girls team and know they gave their very best efforts. They are all a great example for our school.

Múinteoir Ger was so proud of our efforts he even penned the following poem in honour of the basketball teams.

The final whistle blew,
A pain we never knew!
We trained and did our very best,
But they just had more under their vest.
Our teachers are crestfallen
The children are bawling.
We look back with pride and are grateful for the ride
There’s no shame in defeat,
We were there,
We did compete! 🙂
