Today is European Epilepsy Day. Do you know that
- 37,000 people over the age of 5 have epilepsy.
- 50 million people worldwide have epilepsy.
- 10,000 children in Ireland (under 16) have epilepsy.
- There are 130 epilepsy related deaths in Ireland each year.
Epilepsy Ireland is an organisation committed to working for, and to meeting the needs of everyone with epilepsy in Ireland and their families and carers.
