Dress up for Crumlin!
Halloween is one of the world’s oldest festivals and it originated in Ireland. To celebrate the very old traditions of Halloween, the children may (if they wish) come to school dressed up in Halloween costumes on Friday 23rd October. Remember that your child will be wearing this costume for the whole school day, so it should be comfortable to wear and should not include broomsticks/swords/wands etc. Although nuts are associated with Halloween, nuts are not allowed at any time in our school, as we have children with nut allergies in most classes.
We are using this event as an opportunity to fundraise for Crumlin. Rúairí, one of our students attends Crumlin and is full of praise for all who work there especially in St. John’s ward. Rúairí will present the cheque on our behalf to St. John’s ward. All donations will be gratefully accepted.
School will finish at the normal time on the 23rd October and will remain closed until Monday, 2nd. November.
